Debian installation - Can't detect disk

I'm installing Debian 5.0 on my VMware workstation.
at some point i get the window: detect disk drive, but i can't find my disk drive in the list and can't complete the installation.
Please help...

I had this problem before, but with a windows disk. I had to play with the hardware settings in the VMWare configuration. I think I had to allow direct access to CD drives, etc.
